Result: Negative
Western blot using CPTC-LIME1-1 as primary antibody against transient overexpression lysate of human Lck interacting transmembrane adaptor 1 (LIME1) (lane 2). Expected molecular weight - 31.3 kDa. Molecular weight standards are also included (lane 1).
Result: Negative
Automated western blot using CPTC-LIME1-1 as primary antibody against cell lysates HeLa, MCF10A, and LCL57. Samples from each cell line were irradiated with 10 Gy as shown in ‘+’ indicated lanes. Samples from each non-irradiated cell line were treated with alkaline phosphatase enzyme as shown in ‘-‘ indicated lanes. Molecular weight standards are included for each cell line.

Function:
This gene encodes a transmembrane adaptor protein that links the T and B-cell receptor stimulation to downstream signaling pathways via its association with the Src family kinases Lck and Lyn, respectively. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. LIME1 (Lck Interacting Transmembrane Adaptor 1) is a Protein Coding gene. An important paralog of this gene is ENSG00000273047.Involved in BCR (B-cell antigen receptor)-mediated signaling in B-cells and TCR (T-cell antigen receptor)-mediated T-cell signaling in T-cells. In absence of TCR signaling, may be involved in CD4-mediated inhibition of T-cell activation. Couples activation of these receptors and their associated kinases with distal intracellular events such as calcium mobilization or MAPK activation through the recruitment of PLCG2, GRB2, GRAP2, and other signaling molecules.
