Immunofluorescence staining of human cell lines Jurkat, MCF7 and NCI H226 with CPTC-CD14-1 Ab shows no localization of CD14 protein.
This antibody is not suitable for use in a Reverse Phase Protein Array format as described in SOP M-105.

Expected molecular weight - 40.1. Buffy coat and all cell lines are negative. Molecular weight standards are also included (lane 1).
Result: Presumed Positive (with additional bands)

The protein encoded by this gene is a surface antigen that is preferentially expressed on monocytes/macrophages. It cooperates with other proteins to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. CD14 (CD14 Molecule) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CD14 include Mycobacterium Chelonae and Mycobacterium Kansasii.
