Tissue Micro-Array(TMA) core of pancreatic cancer showing cytoplasmic staining using Antibody CPTC-UTP14A-1. Titer: 1:6250
Result: Negative
Western blot using CPTC-UTP14A-1 as primary antibody against LCL57 cell lysate. Cell lysate was irradiated with 10 Gy as shown in the ‘+’ indicated lane. Non-irradiated cell lysate was treated with alkaline phosphatase enzyme as shown in ‘-‘ indicated lane. Blots were developed using enhanced chemiluminescence. Molecular weight standards are also included.

Function:
This gene encodes a member of the uridine triphosphate 14 family. As an essential component of a large ribonucleoprotein complex bound to the U3 small nucleolar RNA, the encoded protein is involved in ribosome biogenesis and 18S rRNA synthesis. An autosomal retrotransposed copy of this X-linked gene exists on chromosome 13. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.UTP14A (UTP14A Small Subunit Processome Component) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are rRNA processing in the nucleus and cytosol and Ribosome biogenesis in eukaryotes. An important paralog of this gene is UTP14C.
