Result: Negative
This antibody is not suitable for use in a Reverse Phase Protein Array format as described in SOP M-105.
Result: Positive
Western blot using CPTC-CXCL9-2 as primary antibody against chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9 (CXCL9) human recombinant protein (lane 2). Expected molecular weight - 11.7 kDa. Molecular weight standards are also included (lane 1).
Result: Negative
Automated WB (Simple Western) using CPTC-CXCL9-1 as primary antibody against the whole lysate of breast, ovary, spleen, endometrium and lung tissues. Expected MW is 14 KDa. The antibody does not recognize the target in the tested tissue lysates.
Result: Presumed Positive (with additional bands)
Western blot using CPTC-CXCL9-2 as primary antibody against human PBMC (2), HeLa (3), Jurkat (4), A549 (5), MCF7 (6) and H226 (7) whole cell lysates. The expected molecular weight is 14.0 kDa. Cytochrome C was used as a loading control. HeLa is presumed positive. All other cell lines are negative.

Function:
This antimicrobial gene encodes a protein thought to be involved in T cell trafficking. The encoded protein binds to C-X-C motif chemokine 3 and is a chemoattractant for lymphocytes but not for neutrophils. CXCL9 (C-X-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 9) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CXCL9 include Proliferative Glomerulonephritis and Paracoccidioidomycosis. Among its related pathways are Signaling by GPCR and PEDF Induced Signaling. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include cytokine activity and CXCR3 chemokine receptor binding. An important paralog of this gene is CXCL10.Cytokine that affects the growth, movement, or activation state of cells that participate in immune and inflammatory response. Chemotactic for activated T-cells. Binds to CXCR3.
