Western Blot using CPTC-KIF2C-1 as primary Ab against KIF2C (rAg 11188) in lane 2. Also included are molecular wt. standards (lane 1) and mouse IgG control (lane 3).
Indirect ELISA (ie, binding of Antibody to Antigen coated plate). Note: B50% represents the concentration of Ab required to generate 50% of maximum binding.
Western Blot using CPTC-KIF2C-2 as primary Ab against KIF2C (rAg 11188) in lane 2. Also included are molecular wt. standards (lane 1) and mouse IgG control (lane 3).
Indirect ELISA (ie, binding of Antibody to Antigen coated plate). Note: B50% represents the concentration of Ab required to generate 50% of maximum binding.
Western Blot using CPTC-KIF2C-3 as primary Ab against KIF2C (rAg 11188) in lane 2. Also included are molecular wt. standards (lane 1) and mouse IgG control (lane 3).
Indirect ELISA (ie, binding of Antibody to Antigen coated plate). Note: B50% represents the concentration of Ab required to generate 50% of maximum binding.
kinesin family member 2C; MCAK; KNSL6; Kinesin-like protein 6; Mitotic centromere-associated kinesin; kinesin-like 6 (mitotic centromere-associated kinesin); kinesin-like 6; kinesin-like protein KIF2C
Function:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of kinesin-like protein family. Proteins of this family are microtubule-dependent molecular motors that transport organelles within cells and move chromosomes during cell division. This protein is important for anaphase chromosome segregation and may be required to coordinate the onset of
sister centromere separation.
Promotes ATP-dependent removal of tubulin dimers from microtubules. Regulates the turnover of microtubules at the kinetochore and functions in chromosome segregation during mitosis.
